Variety: Netflix’s Ted Sarandos: Generative AI Tools Will Be a ‘Great Way for Creators to Tell Better Stories’

M9: No More Ad-Free Streaming On OTT? 

For a long time, Netflix made money by charging people to watch their shows and movies without interruptions from ads. But in late 2022, they started offering a cheaper plan with ads. Amazon did the same thing with its Prime Video service. This change is because both companies have seen slower growth in their subscriber numbers.
