nScreenMedia: Three Conflicting Views of Where the TV Ad Audience is
Three data providers have delivered three radically different views of where the TV ad audience is. However, none of them answer the key question for advertisers. Nielsen’s September snapshot of television viewing shows that 48.7% of TV time was devoted to watching broadcasts and cable, and 41% was spent on streaming sources.
The truth is, however, that people spent more time streaming in September than the numbers indicate.

BroadcastPro ME: Saudi Arabia to Become an International Hub for Film Production
Minister of Culture and Chairman of the Board of Directors of the Saudi Film Commission Prince Badr bin Abdullah, unveiled the ministry’s plan to make Saudi Arabia a hub for film production, reported the Saudi Gazette. Saudi Minister of Culture stressed the importance of the film industry is an economy that is built and opportunities are created.

Broadcast Media Africa: SABC+ Streaming Platform Surpasses 500,000 Users In Rapid Growth Spurt
The South African Broadcasting Corporation (SABC) has announced that since the relaunch of SABC+ on July 3, 2024, the streaming platform has attracted over 500,000 users. The success can also be attributed to focused marketing efforts and live events such as the 2024 Paris Olympic Games, the AFCON 2023/2024 tournament, the Miss South Africa pageant, and popular programs like S3’s B’Dazzled, featuring media personality Bonang Matheba.
